Work-out Tank

As the heat of the summer is coming closer, there will be those days when it is way to hot for anything but a tank top. Even then a tank top is just uncomfortable to wear. I know everyone has an abundance of plain t-shirt, why not put then to good use!

Supplies
- t-shirt
- scissors
- fabric glue

Start off by cutting the collar and sleeves off of your t-shirt. This gives your t-shirt the tank top outline. Give yourself plenty of room, you can always make it smaller.

Cut off the hem of the t-shirt along the line of thread that is farthest away from the bottom of the shirt. Then cut along the close line of thread. Pull the bottom of the shirt until the edge curls.

Unfold them hem and cut the loop so it isn't connected. Then pull so the edges curl in. This also gives you more material to work with.

Flip the shirt over and cut a v shape in the middle. Pick a point to be the end of the point and guesstimate on the shape. Also cut in the sides of the back, mimic the racer back style of a tank top.

Fold the t-shirt in half and line up the arm holes. Take your stretched out hem and tie the two "straps" in the back together.

Wrap the rest of the stretched out hem around the two "straps" until you reach the bottom point of the v. Tie off the stretched out hem once you reach the bottom.

Take your fabric glue and fold over the raw edge. Put glue over the knot and on the inside of the tail. Wrap the tail around until it covers the knot and hold it in place for a few seconds.

Cut the neckline to the depth you want it to be. Then stretch it out until the edges curl.

Get ready to beat the heat!
