DIY Urban Outfitters Headwrap

Lately I've been trying to draw inspiration from what my friends wear or certain items I associate with them. For my first friend-based DIY, I went with my spin on the headwraps/turbans a close friend of mine wears. They remind me of a headband that I would see at Urban Outfitters.

Supplies:
- two rectangles of material 6 in x head circumference
- elastic
- straight pins
- sewing machine

Start off by cutting out the two rectangles of fabric. Then fold them in half.

Sew down the edge to make them into tubes.

Fold the raw edges on both ends in and sew closed.

Fold both of the tube in half creating loops.

Then pull one loop through the other.

Pin the ends and sew closed

Make a 1/2 inch casing for the elastic at the ends of both loops.

Pull the elastic through the casing with a safety pin and sew the ends together.

Enjoy your messy hair days now :)
