Tribal Beach Cover-up

 While browsing through JoAnn's the other day I found a bolt of tribal print material. I loved the bright orange in it, which happened to match my bathing suits for this summer. Then it struck me, this can be my cover-up for the summer!

Supplies
- 1 - 1.5 yds. of cotton fabric
- scissors
- pencil
- bias tape: two packages of single fold or double fold bias tape)
- straight pins
- ruler

Start off by folding your material in half so the short edges are together and cut.

Pin and then sew the bias together.

Pin and sew the bias tape to the bottom hem.

Pin the two sides together and sew, this will look like a pillow case when you turn it inside out.

On both edge seams, measure a rectangle six inches long and one inch wide. Cut this out, curving the corner as you do so.

Make two marks from the edge at a half inch and one inch. Fold the  raw edge into these marks and pin in place. Repeat on the other side.

Sew both of the sleeve hems. Then iron them flat.

Fold the material in half and mark the center. From this point, measure eight to ten inches on the front and five inches on the back. Cut straight down these lines, creating a v- neckline.

Pin on bias tape and then sew. Make sure to back stitch at the point of the v to keep it in place.
