Katniss Braid
Everyone knows the iconic braid that Jennifer Lawrence wore during the Hunger Games. Although it looks like a very simplistic hair-do, it can take a lot of trial and error. Here's to one on the many benefits of long hair-braids!
Supplies
- hair tie
- bobby pins
- sea salt spray
-comb or brush (optional)
Start off by making the sea salt spray. For every two cups of water you use add one tablespoon of salt. Bring the water to a boil then stir in the salt. Let cool and transfer into a spray bottle.
Spray the sea salt spray onto your hair and scrunch. Then let it dry and form the natural curl or wave.
If you have bangs pin them to the side so they wont be braided in.
Start the braid behind where the bangs are with a decent chunk of hair. The goal for this braid is to look large and messy.
French braid the hair around your head until there is no more hair to add. From this point on you will just braid normally.
Tie off the end of the braid with a hair tie and adjust the hair throughout the braid so it isn't tight.
Bobby pin back any stray pieces that didn't make it into the braid and unpin your bangs.
Pull out a few pieces on the opposite side of your bangs.
Rock your hair for the rest of the day (or two!) :)
